Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival / Siem Reap (L/D)

Assemble at the airport for your flight to Siem Reap- a small , charming and pleasant colonial town  with some fine examples of French colonial architecture enough to roam around. Upon arrival, welcome by tour guide at airport, and transfer for lunch at local restaurant, follow by hotel check-in. In the afternoon, proceed to visit LE ARTISAN DÁNGKOR CENTER – Angkor Handicraft center, the workshops of wood and stone carving, polychrome lacquering , gilding, silver plating, silk painting, and the fascinating boutique displaying a variety of arts and crafts made by artisans from the workshops using traditional cultural craftsmanship. Next, discover TONLE SAP – The largest fresh water lake in Southeast Asia, enjoy the boat cruise tour, and explore the life of the people living on the floating villages and the fresh water fish display center. Tonight, enjoy your dinner with KHMER TRADITIONAL DANCE SHOW.

Day 2: Siem Reap (B/L/D)

After breakfast, visit the WORLD HERITAGE – ANGKOR WAT The largest temple in the world with a volume of stones equalizing that of the Cheops Pyramid in Egypt. The temple was built by King Suryarvarman II from 1113 – 1150AD when the Khmer civilization was at the height of its development, represent one of humankind’s most astonishing and enduring architectural achievements. Afternoon, discover the fortified city of Angkor Thom (also known as Great Angkor or Great City) – the latest Capital City of Angkor Era, was built by Angkor’s greatest king, Jayavarman VII (1181 – 1219). We will start from the SOUTH GATE OF ANGKOR THOM, and enter to the main temple sat at the heart of Angkor Thom – the giant faces of BAYON. Next, visit the TERRACE OF THE ELEPHANT, TERRACE OF THE LEPER KING, the PHIMEANAKAS BAPHOUN, and TA PROHM– a temple in its ‘natural state’, surrounded by jungle, and its labyrinth of stone hallways is overgrown with the roots and limbs of the massive Banyan trees which envelope the stones tentacles. In the evening, proceed to watch sunset at PHNOM BAKHENG (Subject to availability due to access number limitation).

Day 3: Siem Reap / Kulen  (B/L/D)

After breakfast, today, take full day tour of 60km long road through the typical Khmer countryside to the holy

 range which provided some of the stones used to build the Angkor temples. With beautiful sceneries to admire on the way up, our vehicle will bring us to the top of the mountain. There we first will see the site of the 1,000 Lingas carved in the riverbed by successive kings of the Angkor period and a further walk  will bring us to the site of a huge natural rock with on the top with a big reclining Buddha carved in the rock. Our walk will also bring us to a waterfall, don’t forget your swimsuits and join the locals! More carvings in the river bed can be discovered above the waterfall. This is also a very popular place for Khmer people to come and enjoy their weekend with a picnic. After enjoying a tasty 5* chef picnic lunch, along the way heading back to Siem Reap, visit WAT THMEY, a former killing field during the Khmer Rouge regime (1975 – 1979). It is now a pagoda with a memorial stupa containing skulls and bones of victims killed during the period. You will be able to explore the Cambodian monk’s pagoda complex. Continue to visit BANTEAY SREI. Back to town, enjoy dinner.

Day 4: Siem Reap – Phnom Penh (B/L/D)

Breakfast at hotel. Today, transfer by coach to PHNOM PENH(approx. 6 hours) – the capital of Cambodia, is the commercial and political hub of Cambodia as well as home for nearly 02 million of the county’s 15 million people. On the way, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Cambodia country side, and you will also learn about the life of the people along the provinces which earn their lives from doing daily small business. You might also see people selling FRIED SPIDER and Insects at the halfway stop, known for local people as SKON area. Upon arrival, have lunch and continue the tour to the ROYAL PALACE (proper attire) and SILVER PAGODA. The Royal Palace which is the official residence of present King Norodom Sihamony, consist of several buildings within the gleaming yellow walls of the compound. After that, proceed to visit INDEPENDENCE MONUMENT, and NATIONAL MUSEUM. Dinner at local restaurant.

Day 5: Phnom Penh – Departure (B/L)

After breakfast, Visit Tourist market (RUSSIAN MARKET) and CENTRAL MARKET for some shopping of local products after lunch transfer to airport for your flight home.
